FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If you have any questions please do not hesitate in contacting us on 01628 564990

Our standard fee for arranging a mortgage is £295. We may also receive a fee from the lender.

Our ongoing fee for Pension and Investment advice is 0.95% of the total value of your fund. For Example, if you invested £100,000 we would receive £950 per annum. There may be an initial charge to set up your plan which will depend on your circumstances. These initial charges are contained in our Client Agreement here. Generally, all fees are deducted from the policies that you hold but we can be flexible in the way we receive our fees if you prefer a different method of payment.

Not necessarily. We have no minimum investment amount and believe that everyone that wants professional advice should have that opportunity.

You can go to your bank, you can go online and compare products or you might even have a chat with a friend who ‘really knows his stuff’ and suggests you get the same as him. But do you have the time and can you be sure you’re getting exactly what you need. If you use a professional, experienced adviser like us then you will get a personalised recommendation based on your individual circumstances which is appropriate for you.

Yes we can. Whether you’re a Ltd Co Director, Sole Trader or Partnership we can source competitive and appropriate products for you. Depending on your business setup, some lenders will require an Accountants Certificate but most prefer to see SA302’s for the last 2 years. This is proof from HMRC of what income you’ve declared and you can find help on how to get them here https://www.gov.uk/sa302-tax-calculation

As many of our team are current and ex BA Cabin Crew then we understand the various elements of your salary which can be a real help when it comes to sourcing the right mortgage for you.

We may be able to source lenders that can lend more than your bank can. We also understand the type of protection policies that might be appropriate for you as we know what the financial implications are when you can’t fly.

We have a separate news page here just for BA Cabin Crew where we hope to provide you with news and information that you might find useful.

Yes we can. With the recent changes to the tax relief on mortgage interest and additional rate of Stamp Duty then the need for advice on Buy to Let mortgages is greater than ever. So whether you’re considering using a Ltd Company to purchase buy to let properties or want to raise money on existing property to expand your portfolio then please speak to one of our advisers to decide which option is right for you.

A buy to let mortgage will be secured against your property.

Some types of buy to let mortgages are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

PROTECTION ADVICE

What is Protection? It is putting in place financial protection should the worst happen to you.

Protect your loved ones if you die.
Life insurance is designed to protect your family or other dependents from the financial consequences of your death. By having the right amount of insurance, you are taking an important step towards making sure that the people you care about – and who depend on you financially – will not face major money worries in the event of your death.

Protect you and your loved ones if you suffer a serious illness.
Critical Illness insurance aims to provide the same security and peace of mind for you and your family – but this time against the financial effects of you being diagnosed with a serious illness.

Protect your income
If you cannot work due to accident or sickness you may get some benefit from your employer for a certain period of time and you may be eligible for certain state benefits but are they going to maintain the lifestyle you want? Income Protection policies can fill the gaps to provide financial protection for when you’re off work long term.

Protect your Business
Business protection helps safeguard your business against the effects of losing partners in a partnership, shareholders or key staff through death, terminal or critical illness.

After a thorough assessment of your Protection needs, our team will give you a personalized recommendation based on your circumstances and priorities.

PENSION ADVICE

Pensions are still a tax efficient way of saving for your retirement.

You may have old pensions from previous employers which are not being actively managed. You may be self-employed and want to start planning for your retirement. Whatever your circumstances, we will review your current arrangements and make a recommendation based on your needs. Our service to you includes:

  • Initial consultation
  • Financial Review and Recommendation
  • Policy Arrangement and Implementation
  • Regular Ongoing Review

For more information or to make an appointment please contact us on 01628 564990 or email us below.

INVESTMENT ADVICE

What do I need to consider?

  • What you’re saving for and how much you need to save
  • How much you can afford to invest
  • The term of the investment i.e how long you want to invest for
  • Access to your funds
  • Will you want your investment to pay you a regular income?
  • And, maybe most important of all, what level of risk are you willing to take with your money?

Our advice process will assess your risk profile taking into account your capacity for loss and timeframe of your investment. We will then build your portfolio according your risk profile and regularly review your investment.

Typically, investments should be seen as medium to long term commitments of, say, at least five years. The value of investments can fall as well as rise and you may not get back the amount you invest.
