Could you shop if you drop?

by Martin Tomkins on July 13, 2016 Comments Off on Could you shop if you drop?

We all like a bit of retail therapy but if you were too ill to work how would you meet your monthly bills? As BA Cabin Crew you may receive basic pay for 6 months and you may be eligible to receive Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) but what about after that?

Income Protection plans can pay a monthly benefit if you are off work due to accident or sickness to help pay those monthly bills.

And it might not be as expensive as you think. As an example a policy for a 43 year old female, non-smoker, to provide a monthly benefit of £1250 per month for 2 years after an inital deferred period of 6 months could cost £26.62 per month (subject to underwriting).

If this sounds of interest then please call our protection team on 01628 564990 to get your personalised illustration.

Have you considered PMI?

by Martin Tomkins on June 30, 2016 Comments Off on Have you considered PMI?

Private Medical Insurance (PMI) is designed to cover the cost of private medical treatment for acute conditions. Often this is a benefit that is offered by your employer but although there are discounts available via Altitude etc it is still something you’ll need to pay for yourself. So why not give us a call as we can advise you on an appropriate plan for you at a budget that suits your wallet.

Why should I consider it? Well, the benefits include;

  • Prompt referral to a Consultant & quick admission to hospital
  • High quality private clinic and hospital accommodation
  • Choice of Healthcare
  • Depending on what plan you choose, you can receive discounts when you use the NHS instead of private treatment

Please contact our team on 01628 564990 or complete the enquiry form on the website if you would like to discuss how it can help you.

by Martin Tomkins on June 10, 2016 Comments Off on A different kind of Cabin Crew News!

Welcome to the page for BA Cabin Crew! We are a firm of Independent Financial Advisers and some of us are Cabin Crew for BA, so we are extremely well placed to give financial advice to Cabin Crew as many of us have a foot in both camps!

Tracey & Nicola are both current Worldwide crew and are Protection Advisers so if you see them downroute feel free to pick their brains about the benefits of protecting your family and/or protecting your income from the effects of ill health.

Martin is a Mortgage & Protection Adviser and Worldwide crew so he understands the way you’re paid and which lenders will look at the various elements of your pay which could help you get a better deal.

Neil is our Pensions and Investment adviser and although he’s not crew, he does know quite a bit about NAPS as well as the wider world of Pensions so if you have burning questions about accrual rates and AVC’s etc then please get in touch via the website.

On this page we hope to bring you news, information and products from the world of financial services that may be relevant to you as Cabin Crew. We are a customer focused business so if there is anything you would like to see on this page then please let us know.

Finally, just a note of caution. Any information we put up here is just that..information. It doesn’t and shouldn’t replace personalised advice which is relevant to you. If you see something that interests you then please contact us to discuss your specific circumstances and see if it’s appropriate for you.

Thanks and enjoy the site.
